“Lost in Transit.”

“Lost in transit.”

That’s the words I heard coming from the other end of the phone after I called a company to see where my package was. A package that was supposed to have been here yesterday. A package I paid special shipping for in order to receive it on time. I thought I did all the right things to get it here.

Can I get a replacement and get it here at least by tomorrow?

“No. I’m sorry, it’s too late.”

Her words stung. Disappointment set in. What was I going to do now? Nothing. There is absolutely nothing I can do because it’s simply too late.

I began to ponder her words. Her words quite possibly might be the most terrifying words you could ever hear at the end of your life.

I’m so thankful that my soul will not be lost in transit. What a tragedy it would be to move about through this world lost and without hope of reaching your permanent, perfect destination. Thinking you are “doing” all the right things to get yourself there. There is no amount of money and no amount of hoping that will get you there after hearing the words, I’m sorry, it’s too late”.

It is only through the acceptance of Jesus Christ into your heart that stamps you with a “Never to be lost in transit, you will reach your destination on time and in perfect condition” shipping label.

Please don’t wait till it’s too late. There will be nothing you can do.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”

John 3:16

It’s All Under Control

Running a business, creating a home, raising children, and taking care of everyone and everything around you can take a toll.

I saw a Bible study set at the Black Mountain Children’s Home Thrift Store.

When I opened the pages to flip through it I saw someone had gone through and already highlighted things that stood out to them. This intrigued me. So I bought it.

As I have continue reading along, I soon realized we are the same. The author and the person who had the book before me, we get each other.

Everything the highlighter highlighted, I would have highlighted myself. Interesting. The previous owner could be one of you, but whoever she is, she is me.

I share several of these highlights with you because I know some of you are me too.
